REVIV Launches Methylene Blue IV Therapy to Support Cellular Energy and Cognitive Health

LONDON, UK. 11th August 2025 – REVIV, the global leader in IV therapy and precision health, has launched a new Methylene Blue intravenous (IV) therapy in the UK and US. The therapy is informed by emerging research suggesting it may help the body produce energy more efficiently at the cellular level and support overall brain function.
The 500ml infusion delivers 20mg of Methylene Blue in saline and has been independently laboratory-tested for safety. The treatment lasts between 30 to 45 minutes and is priced at £249 in the UK and $299 in the US. It is administered under the supervision of trained medical professionals, following detailed protocols and pre-treatment screening to ensure client suitability.
Historical and emerging uses of Methylene Blue
Methylene Blue has been used in medicine since the 19th century, originally to treat blood disorders such as methemoglobinemia. More recently, it is being studied for its ability to help the body produce energy more efficiently at a cellular level, which can support better focus, clearer thinking, and balanced mood. It may also help the body recover from stress caused by factors like travel, intense exercise, or low-oxygen environments.

Expert insights on mitochondrial support
“Methylene Blue is a well-known pharmaceutical compound that works at the cellular level to support the mitochondria, the structures responsible for producing energy in our cells. It can act as an alternative pathway for electrons in the mitochondrial respiratory chain, helping maintain efficient energy production even when certain parts of the chain are under stress,” said Dr. Mahsa Sheikh, Head of Research at REVIV Global.
“Methylene Blue also helps limit the buildup of oxidative stress, a process that can damage cells over time, and supports overall cellular health. These combined actions are why researchers are actively studying its potential roles in areas such as brain function, mood, and metabolic health, in addition to its established medical uses.”
Integration into REVIV’s wellness range
At REVIV, Methylene Blue IV therapy is offered within the brand’s Specialty & Wellness range. It can also be paired with complementary options such as NAD+ and CoQ10+ intramuscular (IM) injections or red/near-infrared light therapy, depending on individual needs and preferences.
The therapy is targeted toward high-performers, frequent travellers, and individuals seeking enhanced focus and recovery.
“While air travel is increasingly convenient, crossing time zones can often contribute to feelings of fatigue, dehydration, and circadian rhythm disruption, commonly referred to as jet lag,” added Dr. Johnny Parvani, Chief Medical Officer at REVIV Global.
“Methylene Blue is being studied for its role in supporting cellular energy production, particularly in low-oxygen environments such as during air travel. When combined with IV hydration therapy, it may help support mental alertness and energy levels, potentially aiding individuals in feeling more adjusted and refreshed during travel.”

REVIV’s mission and global rollout
“At REVIV, our mission is to transform human health through science-led, personalised wellness,” said Sarah Lomas, CEO of REVIV Global. “With the launch of Methylene Blue IV therapy, we’re turning that mission into action, offering an innovative treatment rooted in emerging science and designed to support real-world performance. As interest in cellular health grows, so does the demand for therapies that help people sustain energy, sharpen cognitive function, and build resilience. Methylene Blue is a response to that need.”
Now launched in the UK and US, a global rollout of the Methylene Blue IV is underway across REVIV’s global clinic network, which spans more than 100 locations across four continents, including both corporate-owned clinics and partner locations.
The new formulation will soon be made available to REVIV X partners, independent healthcare providers who deliver REVIV’s therapies using the company’s proprietary protocols and technology, while operating under their own brand.
